From country music shrine - The Ryman, to hipster cave - The 5-Spot, this Venue Series began as a labor of love and celebrates the diverse performance niches found in our Music City.  As with my mixed media paintings and collages, I enjoy the juxtaposition of beauty with the mundane and find symbolism everywhere. Having a digital camera at hand is a great gift - it causes me to look around and investigate, and it’s the surface shadows, layers of color and reflections that I find the most alluring
